So, on Friday we bought a generator. On Tuesday it stopped working. Not cool. Thankfully, it is under warranty. The drawback - we had to take it to a warranty certified dealership in Enterprise, about 60 miles from our camp. When we left camp we weren't planning on an overnighter, but that's what it turned into, so we drove over to Joseph for an impromptu lesson on Chief Joseph and the Nez Perce, and then over to enjoy the sunshine and geology at Wallowa Lake. I'm pretty sure the kids had the most fun just playing in the mud, but in their defense, it was pretty good mud :)
It was a stretch for the mom who does not like to be unprepared, but it ended up being a great little field trip. And friends, if you ever find yourself in Joseph I have two words for you - Arrowhead Chocolates. Go there.
